I highlighted that while these awards were presented to Simon and Jimmy representing the huge amount of support crew that made the 2023 F3A World Championships happen, the medals were definitely acknowledgement of the amazing amount of effort these two guys put in to make the event happen.. the hardest part of the whole process was convincing the pair of them they were worthy recipients!!

My intent was to name ALL the support crew but as was rightly pointed out to me, that would have been a very dangerous move as there were just far too many wonderful people that generously donated their time to make the event possible and I would have missed acknowledging someone's efforts which would not have been right.

So in the end I read out the Organising Committees names and would like to use this platform to say a HUGE HUGE thankyou to all those that contributed in some small way or large to making the event a success and making your country shine in the eyes of the world!

A personal thanks to all those QPA members I met on the weekend that welcomed me so openly and as always to Peter Pennisi and his lovely wife Marina who took the time and effort to drive me around and accommodate me over the weekend.

Thanks to all, it was an awesome weekend and a fitting recognition to the success of the 2023 F3A World Championships!
